The 47-year old step-father of a young country artist had been diagnosed with stage IV cancer and told there was nothing more that could be done. Music Health Alliance helped get him accepted into an out-of-state clinical trial, fill out and submit disability paperwork and find free housing near the hospital. A 45-year old single mom working in concert promotion lost group health coverage and a few days later her daughter broke her leg. Music Health Alliance advocated on her behalf, helping her to apply for coverage through the ACA marketplace, proof of eligibility and negotiated with the insurance company to back date her coverage and cover the expenses, saving the family over $2,000 in out-of-pocket medical expenses. A 61-year old drummer with over 30 years of professional experience suffered a blood borne infection in his eye. Without insurance, he was faced with over $45,000 in medical bills and was told that he would not be able to get diagnostic work done to save his retina without advance payment. Music Health Alliance facilitated a financial aid application with the hospital and was able to get the entire bill for his emergency room visit, surgery and hospital stay written off. A grant from the Ben Eyestone Fund gave him access to an ophthalmologist and a glaucoma specialist where he continues to receive treatment. He is back on the road now with a multi-platinum recording artist.

Innsbrook After Hours announced that Kane Brown's performance at the SERVPRO of Richmond Pavilion has been rescheduled to September 8th. Brown's performance in May was postponed due to weather. Three short months ago, Sea Gayle Music's CJ Solar was named “Independent Artist of the Year” at the 17th Annual MusicRow CountryBreakout Awards ceremony. Today, CJ received news he is nominated for “Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year” at the 31st Annual MusicRowAwards. Voting begins tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14, and runs through May 21. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Nashville's War Memorial Auditorium.

Aaron Watson Live at the World's Biggest Rodeo Show, the “pioneering independent's” (Cowboys & Indians) 14th album and his first live album in nearly a decade, is set to release on August 24, 2018, marking the one year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey's landfall on the south Texas coast (August 25, 2017). The Category 4 storm caused $125 billion in damage according to the National Hurricane Center and impacted 13 million people in 41 Texas counties.  $1.41 from each album sold will benefit the Rebuild Texas Fund, in recognition of the widespread devastation across Watson's beloved home state. Recorded live in front of 65,000 fans on opening night of the 2017 Rodeo Houston, the album is particularly poignant to the Texas born-and-bred singer/songwriter.
