The critically acclaimed new musical based on one of the best-selling albums of all time, will launch a nineteen city North American tour at Detroit's Fox Theatre this November following an eagerly anticipated return engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre. Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical is currently playing an extended smash hit engagement in London's West End where it won the 2017 Evening Standard Award for Best Musical.

Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical's lead Andrew Polec, who plays the character of 'forever young' Strat, is leaving the West End production of the show. Polec, who won the 'Joe Allen Best West End Debut' in the Stage Debut Awards 2017 for his performance as Strat, has been involved in the show since the beginning. He commented:

The producers of Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical have announced five special performances when the audience will be able to sing along with the cast to the classic hits. These performances will take place on Tuesday 28 August, Tuesday 25 September, Wednesday 31 October, Tuesday 27 November and Monday 31 December. On Halloween (31 October) and New Year's Eve (31 December), the audiences will also have the option to come dressed as their favourite character from the show or from one of Meat Loaf's iconic videos. The best dressed audience member on each night will go home that evening with a Bat Out Hell - The Musical poster signed by Meat Loaf himself.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2018 season, which includes new dance and music commissions, and a gala featuring a revival performance of a Works & Process Rotunda Project in the Guggenheim's iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed space. Since 1984 the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians, and playwrights, among others. Programs explore the creative process through stimulating discussions with artists and riveting performance highlights. Each 70-minute program takes place in the museum's Peter B. Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical will be extending into 2019, with a new booking period at the Dominion Theatre from 27 October 2018 to 5 January 2019 going on sale at 12.00noon today, Thursday 26 July 2918. The winner of the Evening Standard Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical 2017 began previews at the Dominion Theatre on Monday 2 April, with a gala performance on 19 April 2018.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 13 at 10:00AM.

The season begins September 21, 2018, marking the third year of programming under the leadership of Artistic Director Paul Crewes and Managing Director Rachel Fine and the sixth for the institution. Michael Nemeroff, Chairman of the Board of The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, begins the second year of his term.
