The cast of Off-Broadway's smash hit RUTHLESS! The Musical met the stars of the live dance sensation BALLROOM WITH A TWIST, which is currently touring the country. And the sparks flew! It was a love-fest for the talented showmen and women after the August 10th performance of RUTHLESS! when the stars of both of both shows mingled and posed for photos. The Daily Mail reported today that James McAvoy and Emily Blunt, who voiced the title charcters of GNOMEO AND JULIET are hoping to play the gnomes in the upcoming sequel to the movie, SHERLOCK GNOMES. Both have been offered the roles, but deals have yet to be finalized.

South Coast Repertory's latest offering, MR. WOLF---now on stage in Costa Mesa through May 3---is a high-quality presentation of an intriguingly audacious if not quite fully-gestated new world premiere play from Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph, the playwright behind the celebrated BENGAL TIGER AT THE BAGHDAD ZOO. In Mr. Joseph's enticing new drama, the play employs a ripped-from-the-headlines plot that feels more like a stand-alone episode of any given TV procedural drama, which, unfortunately, by their very nature leaves very little room for real character development, yet provides enough juicy (and at times soapy) melodrama to pique an interested audience.

A fresh modern play with a dark, unsettling heart, Right Now walks a delicate line between comedy and anxiety, teasing and thrilling its audience with an increasing air of psychological suspense. As Alice and Ben settle into their beautiful new flat they realise that the family across the hall hope to be more than just friends. Soon, Juliette, Giles, and their son Francis are wearing out the welcome mat and suggesting drinks, hors d'oeuvres and dancing. Things begin to heat up as innocent invitations lead to passionate encounters and unsettling revelations.

The much-talked about dazzling new production of SIDE SHOW will open on Broadway this fall at the St. James Theatre, it was announced today in New York City. It will be directed by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Bill Condon (Chicago, Dreamgirls, Twilight: Breaking Dawn Parts 1 and 2, Gods and Monsters), making his Broadway directorial debut in an exciting new staging of the musical. SIDE SHOW will begin previews on Tuesday, October 28 with an official Opening Night on Monday, November 17.

Christina Perri, whose song, "Jar of Hearts," led to overnight success and a record deal after being featured on the show, is back to perform her new single, "Burning Gold," from her "Head or Heart" album.

I was all kinds of conflicted coming into tonight's 'So You Think You Can Dance.' At the end of the episode, we were going to have to lose four dancers to get to the Top-10. Now, I am all for getting straight to the Top-10 dancers partnering with the All-Stars, but the prospect of dropping four was a little scary. At this point in the season, there were still a number of really talented individuals that haven't seemed to catch on yet, and I was afraid that with four cuts that someone really I really liked was going to go home tonight, without ever getting a chance to show his or her stuff. Unfortunately, I was right. So much of this show comes down to what genres and choreographers you get when, and two of the dancers eliminated tonight I think have gotten tough draws during the live shows.

Ok, after our Celebrity Guest-Recapper Natalie Weiss was absolutely on fire last week, I figured I had to step up my game tonight. I am so honored and thrilled to be the first guest So You Think You Can Dance recapper for BWW! It is now 2:15 A.M. and I am putting together my A.D.D. notes into cohesive sentences after watching tonight's episode on DVR. (I got home at midnight from judging the semi-finals of the weekly competition, 'So You Think You Can Belt' at the West End Theatre uptown) It's pretty ironic that they're on the same night of the week.

Tune in for a special appearance by A Great Big World, performing their hit single, 'Say Something,' which took the country by storm after being featured during a performance by Amy Yakima and Robert Roldan last season, choreographed by Stacey Tookey.

This week's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE had a very Broadway feel to it with Josh Bergasse, the choreographer of the upcoming ON THE TOWN revival, staging a Top-20 routine to the show's anthem 'New York, New York' (the one by Bernstein, Comden, and Green, not Kander and Ebb). As we learned last week, this season's winner will earn a spot in the musical's ensemble. While some people, including @Actor_Friend, don't like this idea, remember, the last network show to give away roles on Broadway brought us Laura Osnes, so let's reserve judgment, just in case a reality show brings us more Broadway royalty this time.

It was a rushed audition and callback process, but finally, we are getting into the meat and potatoes of the SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE season; the live shows. This week's installment is the 200th live show in SYTYCD history, and we finally got to see the Top-20 do their thing.
