For awhile now, we have been receiving press materials and hearing about The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), but never witnessed the group first-hand. Well, that all changed this past Saturday night, in Philadelphia, when we decided to go to the Kimmel Center and see the 2011 Summer-Intensive weekend showcase, this year titled TRUE COLORS. I can honestly say that our jaws dropped. Directed and hosted by the newest addition to their impressive faculty line-up, Richard Jay-Alexander, the evening was like watching a skillfull PLAYLIST of Broadway 'gold' and 'showstoppers.' Two ACTS worth!

Omaha's Broadway dreams come true for the second consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partners with Omaha Performing Arts to present their acclaimed Summer Performing Arts Intensive at the Holland Performing Arts Center (1200 Douglas Street, Omaha, NE). Acclaimed theatrical director and producer Richard Jay-Alexander and a roster of Broadway veterans work with aspiring young performers from the Omaha area throughout the week in preparation for 'True Colors,' a one of a kind Broadway concert open to the public. Barrie's What Every Woman Knows at the Finborough Theatre in July this year, director Louise Hill returns to the Finborough Theatre with another rediscovery of a classic comedy by J.M. Barrie to celebrate the 150th anniversary of his birth - his magical 1901 play Quality Street, opening on 30 November 2010 (Press Night: Thursday, 2 December 2010 at 7.30pm) as part of the Finborough Theatre's 30th anniversary year.
