On Saturday 14 October, Sydney Philharmonia Choirs present a very special 'double bill': two exquisite concerts featuring acclaimed works by two of the world's most celebrated living choral composers. Over the past nine years, since 2013, Sydney Philharmonia’s Choirs’ Easter Saturday Bach concerts have become a much-loved Easter-tide tradition in Sydney. These annual Bach performances have also been critically acclaimed for their mastery of some of the most vocally demanding choral compositions ever written.

Programmed by long-standing Artistic & Music Director, Brett Weymark OAM, this richly diverse season traverses choral classics by Mozart, Bach, Haydn and Handel; the glorious colours of Puccini; living repertoire by Pēteris Vasks and Eric Whitacre; and six newly commissioned short works from local Sydney composers Jessica Wells, Aija Draguns, Tomas Parrish-Cheynoweth, Aiden Rosa, Maria Lopes, and Melbourne’s Stuart Greenbaum.
