The celebrated Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo will appear at the Guitarfest 2016 on Saturday, April 30. Michael Newman and Laura Oltman will perform the music of Dušan Bogdanovi?, Johann Kaspar Mertz, Paul Moravec, Alfonzo Montes & Irina Kircher and Isaac Albeniz. The concert will be held at 8:00 at the Shea Center for the Performing Arts.

The celebrated Newman & Oltman Guitar Duo will appear at the Mannes School of Music's new location on Friday, March 11, 2016. Michael Newman and Laura Oltman will perform the music of Dušan Bogdanovi?, Johann Kaspar Mertz, Paul Moravec, Alfronso Montes & Irina Kircher and Isaac Albeniz. The concert will be held at 8:00pm at the Ernest C. Steifel Concert Hall, Arnhold Hall, at 55 West 13th Street.  Admission is free and open to the public.

This season at The Eccles Center illustrates PCI's efforts to not just entertain, but also to educate and to illuminate. Following a recent sold out debut at Bar Thalia, Symphony Space's newest home for Jazz, acclaimed NYC vocalist-songwriter MARCUS GOLDHABER is returning to launch 'MOSTLY MARCUS,' a Sunday night Jazz Duo summer residency, backed only by a top jazz guitarist and joined each week by a different guest artist. The rotating group of jazz guitarists includes Hendrik Helmer (Wyclef Jean, Carly Simon, Duncan Sheik), John Hart (Jimmy Smith, James Moody), Ron Affif (Al Martino, Roger Williams) and Sean Harkness (Eileen Ivers, Julie Budd).

WFUV's popular program, Ceol na nGael ('Music of the Irish'), heard Sundays from 12-4 p.m., celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert on February 8 at Ross Hall at the New York Botanical Garden. The concert, featuring performances by fiddler Eileen Ivers, singer Cathie Ryan, seven-piece band Celtic Cross, and Dan Gurney, accordion player of The Yanks, will be broadcast on Sunday, March 15 from 2-4 p.m. at 90.7 FM and wfuv.org, where it will also be available on demand in the audio archives.

THE BLACK BOX, downtown Franklin's new theater, music, and event venue, presents two special evenings of live music, featuring the April Hall Quartet on Valentine's Day and Celtic singer-songwriter Robbie O'Connell on February 20.

The Duo, in a collaboration with string quartet, ETHEL will perform a program of Raritan River commissioned works by Paul Moravec, Michael Karmon, and Dusan Bogdanovic. The concert will also include the music of Augusta Read Thomas in a celebration of her 50th birthday. Beginning at 7:30pm the concert will take place at the Clinton Presbyterian Church in Clinton, NJ.
