For three weeks in June, Historic Green-Wood Cemetery will be transformed into Grover's Corners, New Hampshire at the turn of the 20th century, as it becomes an urban and bold outdoor stage for a new production of Thornton Wilder's Our Town. The Global Cabaret Festival Kicks Off Today

The Green-Wood Historic Fund and Variations Theatre Group are proud to present the return engagement of The Spoon River Project, a play with music staged among spectacular 19th-century graves in the heart of Brooklyn's historic Green-Wood Cemetery. This unique site-specific theatrical production will run for 14 performances from tonight, June 13 through 30, 2013, including a Friday, June 14 after-party with members of the cast and midnight shows every Saturday.

In the quiet calm of the mid-summer night air, visitors to Historic Green-Wood Cemetery will be transported to the fictional town of Spoon River as the Green-Wood Historic Fund and 22Q Entertainment LLC present the New York City theatrical premiere of The Spoon River Project. A dramatic new adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters' 1915 poetic masterpiece, 'The Spoon River Anthology,' The Spoon River Project will be performed from June 15 - 26, 2011 under the moonlight and lit by torches and lanterns. Theatre-goers will travel on Green-Wood's trolley deep into the heart of the Cemetery to the site of the production.
