SD Junior Theatre Artistic Director, Desha Crownover Announces Departure

San Diego Junior Theatre (SDJT)'s Artistic Director, Desha Crownover, will be departing her long-time position in the coming months to pursue new artistic endeavors. Crownover's time with SDJT began over 25 years ago, first as a Teaching Artist and Stage Director. In 2007, she moved into the position of Artistic Director, which she has held intermittently ever since.
Opera Philadelphia's Festival O to Return in September

Excitement is building for the return of Opera Philadelphia’s Festival O after a three-year hiatus. Festival O22 kicks off Wednesday, September 21, with the company premiere of Toshio Hosokawa’s The Raven, a monodrama inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and Noh theater, presented in an immersive audience experience co-produced with Philadelphia’s Obvious Agency.

Saugerties' Round the Bend Theatre will present a staged reading of David Bunce's “The Mighty Lambs” on Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10 at Bridge Street Theatre in Catskill. Curtain for both performances will be at 7:30pm. Bunce, a Capitol Region playwright and actor, and winner of BroadwayWorld.com's Best New Play of 2019 for “Red Maple”, has created, in his latest work, an homage to the pubs of Ireland and the effort to save them.
