The Tony award-winning play by Matthew Lopez will make its Australian premiere beginning next week at fortyfivedownstairs.

Forster’s 1910 masterpiece Howards End, opens with a 5-hour two-part play. A great success on Broadway awarded with 4 Tony Awards, including Best Play, the production will have its first version on Brazilian stages.

Bill Conti won the Academy Award for best score for The Right Stuff (1983) and has scored over 90 feature films. Prior to his win, he had been nominated for Rocky (1976) and For Your Eyes Only (1981). Conti served as Musical Director for The Academy Awards for nineteen years and won three Emmy Awards for his direction.

The Machine Stops, a classic science fiction story by E. M. Forster, re-envisioned by two Iowa artists, is coming to the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts this July.

From April 22 – June 11, 2022, SpeakEasy Stage Company will proudly present the US Regional Theatre premiere of Matthew López’s epic two-part drama THE INHERITANCE, winner of the 2020 Tony Award for Best Play.  

The renowned dance company Ballet Central will return to touring this spring with a four-month programme visiting 11 mid-sized theatres across England.

Lois Smith has won the 2020 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for THE INHERITANCE.

Andrew Burnap has won the 2020 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play for THE INHERITANCE.

Stephen Daldry has won the 2020 Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for THE INHERITANCE.

Bringing the farmyard to life will be Nikita Johal (Spring Awakening, Hope Mill), Roddy Lynch (A Christmas Carol, Theatre Royal Bath), James Mateo-Salt (The Pirate Queen, London Coliseum), Matthew McPherson (The Jolly Christmas Postman, Oxford Playhouse), and Abigail Middleton (Pig, Royal Court Theatre Liverpool). Showcasing live instrumental music, original songs, puppetry and rhymes galore this exciting adaptation is a treat for the whole family. 

The Theater Lab, a District 214 Community Education program, has announced virtual performances of its adaptation of E.M. Forster's THE MACHINE STOPS. Shows will be May 14-15, 2021 via Zoom.
