Featuring stars of Broadway hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical and Chazz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale, The Doo Wop Project traces the evolution of Doo Wop, from the classic sound of five guys singing tight harmonies on a street corner to the biggest hits on the radio today. DWP takes the audience on a journey from the songs of groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos through their influences on the sounds of Smokey Robinson, The Temptations, and The Four Seasons all the way to 'DooWopified' versions of modern musicians like Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5. The Doo Wop Project comes to The Ridgefield Playhouse Wednesday, March 25 at 7:30pm, part of Northern Trust Broadway & Cabaret Series with support from Teed & Brown, and Pepsi Rock Series powered by Xfinity.

Kean Stage welcomes The Doo Wop Project to Wilkins Theatre, 1000 Morris Ave., Union, at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14.

The Doo Wop Project brings "A Doo Wop Christmas Show" to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The Doo Wop Project, with multiple members who have appeared in the Broadway hits "Jersey Boys" and "Motown: The Musical", brings unparalleled sound and vocal authenticity to recreate a classic era in American music that has inspired generations.

Moonlight Presents offers two holiday events in December at the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Sponsored by Dr. Bronner's, the shows include the Doo Wop Project Christmas, featuring stars of Broadway's "Jersey Boys" and "Motown: the Musical," on Sat., Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. Amongst the singers is San Diego native Charl Brown who began his musical theatre journey as a student at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts. Producers Steven Baruch, Marc Routh, Richard Frankel and Tom Viertel announced today that Smokey Joe's Cafe: The Songs of Leiber & Stoller, the all-new incarnation of the record breaking Broadway hit, will close on Sunday, November 4, 2018. The show will have played 20 previews and 121 performances at Stage 42 (422 West 42nd Street). Previews began on Friday, July 6 and the production officially opened on Sunday, July 22.

Transgender superstar Mila Jam released BRUISED, a powerful, star- studded music video and soul pop EP. The emotional four-track EP, which highlights relationships, abuse, self-discovery, and hope, is now available on all digital providers.
