The fifth production of the Cape Playhouse season arrives as Gypsy takes the stage, the second musical in the historic theatre's 91st season. Starring Julia Murney, Caroline Bowman, James Lloyd Reynolds, Tess Soltau and Garett Hawe, and directed by Michael Rader, Gypsy plays August 8-19. The feisty and captivating pair of Fred Astaire  and Ginger Rogers still lives on ­- generations after they first danced into the hearts of millions. This Tinseltown twosome continues to inspire legions of movie and dancing buffs due in part to the numerous films in which the virtuoso duo starred. However, fans can enjoy this iconic dancing pair's legacy live thanks to the world premiere of Carefree: Dancin' with Fred & Ginger - a musical tribute co-produced by New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) and RKO Stage.

Members of the Broadway community are donating their time and talent to perform in a one night cabaret to inspire young artists. On October 8th at 8:00pm, the Celebration of Stars cabaret will take place at the Sharon Playhouse in Sharon, CT.

Nominations for the 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, which honor outstanding dance and choreography on stage and screen, were announced just yesterday at the Friar's Club by New York Post columnist Michael Riedel. For the first time, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards have explored recognizing excellence in dance, movement, and choreography off-Broadway. Twenty eligible shows in the non-profit and commercial off-Broadway arenas met the eligibility requirements and were considered. CLICK HERE for the full list of nominees!

ELF The Musical is playing at the Theater at Madison Square Garden for a limited three week engagement from December 9 through December 27, 2015. Today, stars of ELF, Eric Petersen Veronica Kuehn, paid a visit to the Empire State Building, in honor of the monument being lit in green and gold for the musical's opening night toninght at Theater at Madison Square Garden. The production runs through December 27.
