A hilarious musical comedy series is sweeping the nation and heading to Boulder! Highlighting recipes, food, and change in the church, the regional premiere of Church Basement Ladies 2: A Second Helping is a celebration of the church basement kitchen and the women who run it. Church Basement Ladies 2 is dishing up laughs at BDT Stage (formerly named Boulder's Dinner Theatre) tonight, September 12 through November 8, 2014.

Sierra Repertory Theatre's A SECOND HELPING: THE CHURCH BASEMENT LADIES SEQUEL will run tonight, April 25 - June 8, 2014 at the Fallon House Theatre. Inspired by the books of Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson, authors of Growing Up Lutheran, the show features book by Greta Grosch and music & lyrics by Drew Jansen and Dennis Curley. Theater Latte Da previously announced that a season of four adventures in musical storytelling and the continuation of a major new work development program will comprise its 16th Season. Slated for production are Steerage Song at The Lab Theater (today, September 25 - October 20, 2013), All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 at the Pantages Theatre (December 19-22, 2013), Cabaret at the Pantages Theatre (January 15 - February 9, 2014), and Our Town at The Lab Theater (March 12 - April 6, 2014). In spring 2014, the company will bring back NEXT: New Musicals in the Making, their program to develop new works for the musical theater canon.

On September 25th, Theater Latte Da kicks off the 16th season at The Lab Theater in Minneapolis' historic warehouse district with the all new docu-musical Steerage Song by Peter Rothstein and Dan Chouinard. Tickets are now available here.

The Ordway will say farewell to the McKnight Theatre in grand style tonight, April 28 at 7:30 pm, in a special performance called, 'The Night of a Million Stars.' The concert production will highlight area artists and feature musical pieces from productions previously held in the McKnight Theatre.

James Rocco is the vice president of programming and producing artistic director of the Ordway Center for Performing Arts in Saint Paul, Minn.
