Juilliard Drama Announces 2018-19 Season

Juilliard Drama begins its inaugural year under the leadership of Obie-winning director Evan Yionoulis, Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division. Current acting director Richard Feldman will resume his role as associate director and faculty member. The 2018-19 season features fully staged productions showcasing Juilliard's Group 48 acting students in their fourth and final year in the program.
Experiences Of Female Imprisonment Exposed In Fuel Theatre's LOCK HER UP

As the UK marks the centenary of women's victory in the fight for suffrage, for which hundreds of women were imprisoned, Fuel presents three specially commissioned sound installations exploring different aspects of female incarceration. Working with leading academics on the history of women's imprisonment at the University of Warwick and award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry, whose recent work includes Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on the West End and Broadway, Fuel will present the installations at a week-long exhibition at Tate Modern before touring the UK (dates tbc) and being made available online as a podcast series.
Sweeping Historical Novel Slated for Release in January

A sweeping tale of historical fiction that unfolds against the backdrop of World War I,The L becker is slated for simultaneous publication in print and electronic editions. The L becker will be available where fine books are sold on January 23, 2018.

Arnie Burton and Mary Testa Receive Joe A. Callaway Award

Arnie Burton and Mary Testa have been selected to receive the 2017 Joe A. Callaway Award presented by the Actors' Equity Foundation. The award, honoring the best performance in a professional production of a classic play (one written prior to 1920) in the New York metropolitan area, will be presented at Actors' Equity Association's Eastern Regional Membership Meeting at 2 pm on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Equity offices, 165 West 46th Street in New York. A festival of fresh theatre for adventurous people by inspiring artists is headed for the South West this November as producers Fuel present a festival of performances in partnership with venues across the city of Exeter. FuelFest Exeter ranges from family-friendly nights out, to intimate experiences in the dark, and performances in community centres. There'll be puppetry, sea shanties, binaural soundscapes and conversations with the future.

Responding to a world where the movement of people is never far from the front pages, theatre producers Fuel are developing and presenting several projects with artists that address the most pressing issue of our time. Some are at early stages of development, some have new tour dates to announce, and some entirely new works will premiere. Among the new works will be The Hartlepool Monkey, produced in association with Stratford Circus Arts Centre and created by Gyre & Gimble, who met while working as puppeteers on the original production of War Horse.
