When Doc Heide joined the UW-Green Bay Heritage Ensemble 50 years ago this year, the troupe was a tiny group of college students on a woodsy stage in Peninsula State Park created to host naturalist programs.

The 39th season of the Verdi Chorus continues with the Fox Singers, presented by the Verdi Chorus and the Sahm Family Foundation, in A Serenade To Music for one night only at the First Presbyterian Church in Santa Monica on February 25, at 7:30pm. 

The 3rd Annual Art Fur Paws Online Auction to benefit the Sacramento SPCA will be live at Witherell's from November 18 to December 2, 2021. Now in its third year, this two-week auction will feature artwork by many of the region's finest artists, as well as antiques, collectibles, and jewelry, all donated by Sacramento SPCA supporters.

WeCameToDance is a musical which tells the story of extra-terrestrial life arriving on Earth to warn its inhabitants of a climate crisis that their own planet has experienced. While guiding audiences in a fully immersed experience through rhythms, dance, and song, the characters relay a call to action and convey the tragedy of a changing climate, yet a sense of hope percolates through each and every motion, movement, and note.

The Peterson family has granted a combined $750,000 gift to Asolo Repertory Theatre in honor of the family's matriarch, Pasqualina “Lee” Peterson.

The Verdi Chorus will kick off its 37th season with their Spring Concert, Opera Gets Real, for two performances only at the First United Methodist Church in Santa Monica on April 18 and 19.

West Side Theatre Company will conclude its successful inaugural season in March with the Utah premiere of the Broadway-bound PRIDE & PREJUDICE - THE MUSICAL.  It is one of the first full productions of the musical following workshops with Broadway names such as Tony nominee Laura Osnes (CINDERELLA), Margo Seibert (ROCKY) and Teal Wicks (JEKYLL & HYDE). Richard Rodgers Award finalist Lawrence Rush, who wrote the book, music and lyrics, will fly to Utah from New York City especially to participate in final rehearsals of the production.

Artists Rep presents the World Premiere of Magellanica, by E.M. Lewis, directed by Damaso Rodriguez from January 20 through February 18 on the theatre's Morrison Stage. Magellanica is a five-part epic play written by Oregon playwright E.M. Lewis. This production is made possible through major funding from the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Creative Heights Initiative and the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award. Magellanica is a part of Portland's Fertile Ground Festival of New Works.

The Producers, now being performed at Paper Mill Playhouse through October 23rd, is a fabulous production of the hilarious hit musical. Directed by Don Stephenson, choreographed by Bill Burns with musical direction by James P. Moore, the show shines bright on the Millburn stage.
