'An Evening With Emerging Writers' is a concert showcasing music written by up-and-coming musical theatre writers

Charming, delightful, and dedicated to excellence, David Payne is encroaching upon his 1000th performance as C.S. Lewis in his play, An Evening with C.S. Lewis. 

Acclaimed actor David Payne stars in An Evening with C.S. Lewis: My Life's Journey at the Aronoff Center's intimate Jarson-Kaplan Theater for four performances only: Friday, February 28 at 7:30 PM; Saturday, February 29 at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM; and March 1 at 2:00 PM. The one-man show is produced by Emery Entertainment, Inc. and is a part of the Cincinnati Arts Association's 2019-20 Season.

Renowned actor David Payne will portray author C.S. Lewis in 'An Evening with C.S. Lewis,' presented by the Montalvo Arts Center as part of its ongoing Carriage House Concert Series. In this delightful evening, the novelist, poet, essayist, academic, literary critic, and broadcaster has agreed to host a group of curious Americans in his simple house outside Oxford. What ensues is an enthralling performance that has captivated audiences worldwide. Full of humor, this dramatic solo shows offers a fascinating and highly entertaining insight into the man who penned more than 30 works including The Screwtape Letters, The Space Trilogy, and The Chronicles of Narnia. Actors Co-op presents a Co-op too! production of An Evening with C.S. Lewis by David Payne, a one-man play in which C.S. Lewis reminisces about his childhood, his education, his career at Oxford, his spiritual journey and his life with his wife.

Lewis & Tolkien: Of Wardrobes and Rings, written by and featuring David Payne and directed by Marc Whitmore,will make its New York debut at the Black Box Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture. Performances began on May 23 with opening night scheduled for May 31, the engagement runs throughJune 14.
