The formidable talents of The Hartt School Choruses (Edward Bolkovac, director), Hartt Symphony Orchestra (Christopher Zimmerman, director), Connecticut Children's Chorus (Stuart Younse, director), Hartford Chorale (Richard Coffey, director), and the choir of the Cathedral of St. Joseph (Jeffrey Douma, director) combine to perform Benjamin Britten's War Requiem, conducted by Christopher Zimmerman. The Iridium Jazz Club presents The Barry Harris Trio, featuring Ray Drummond on bass and Leroy Williams on drums, on February 7th.

Barry Harris is an Internationally renowned Jazz Pianist, Composer and Teacher. Strongly influenced by Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie Parker Harris is unquestionably the foremost exponent of the music of Powell, Tadd Dameron, and Monk, and is one of the few jazz musicians of the late 20th and 21st Centuries who can teach and play the music with equal clarity.

The Iridium Jazz Club presents The Barry Harris Trio, featuring Ray Drummond on bass and Leroy Williams on drums, for three nights of performances February 4th to February 7th.

Crowns is back in town, and with direction and choreography by Kenneth Lee Roberson (Broadway's Avenue Q, Arena's Lady Day at Emerson's Bar & Grill) and musical direction by Grammy nominee e'Marcus Harper, this soulful musical will be bigger than ever in the Lincoln Theatre. Arena favorites Marva Hicks (The Women of Brewster Place) and E. Faye Butler (Dinah Was, Ain't Misbehavin') are joined by NaTasha Yvette Williams (Broadway's The Color Purple), Mary Millben, Kara Tameika Watkins, Phillip Boykin and Zurin Villanueva. Howard University student Villanueva was discovered in Arena's January 'Finding Yolanda' one-day casting search, and this production marks her debut professional performance.
