Growing up, one of my favorite movies to rent from our local library was about a strong girl named Pippi Longstocking, which was short for Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Efraim's Daughter Longstocking. So when Des Moines Playhouse announced it would be part of their 2021-2022 season, I was excited to see how they would bring this production to the stage. Their production had surprises sprinkled throughout that will spark the imagination of everyone in the audience.

Following the tragic passing of Il Divo's Carlos Marin, the remaining members of the multi-national group – America's David Miller, France's Sebastien Izambard and Switzerland's Urs Buhler – will proceed with their tour in tribute to Marin. The tour, previously, the “For Once in My Life Tour” will go on as a Greatest Hits Tour and include special guest, Mexican American baritone Steven LaBrie.

Starting Thursday, November 18th, in time for Thanksgiving, City Guide is returning to print with a newly redesigned magazine, available via widespread city distribution. City Guide can be found in 90% of midtown, downtown, and other tourist-area hotels, in addition to information kiosks and other heavily trafficked spots around the city.

Along with superior medical and health care, many of the physicians also have additional talents in music. The 25th anniversary of Serenades of Life - Doctors in Concert benefiting Nathan Adelson will be presented at The Smith Center on Oct. 2.

As New York City's recovery continues and visitors begin their return, the city's tourism industry came together last night, Monday, August 30th, for the 'NYC Tourism Is Back, Start Spreading Your News' cocktail reception. Popular tourist destination One World Observatory hosted the gathering along with City Guide, the region's largest in-market tourism magazine, which has been serving New Yorkers and visitors since 1982. More than 300 guests following all health and safety protocols came together while more than 30 local institutions ranging from BIDs to tourism entities to the Brooklyn Nets supported the event as sponsors.
2021 Arizona Bach Festival Announced

The Arizona Bach Festival celebrates its 12th anniversary season of presenting renowned artists performing the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. The 2021 Festival will be held virtually on YouTube with a three-concert Festival, February 21, February 28 and March 7, 2021. All concerts will begin at 3:00 pm MST/5:00 EST.
