 It's Only a Play a comedy written by Terrence McNally, directed by Larry Eisenbergm and produced by David Hunt will be presented by Theatre Forty (241 S, Moreno Drive, Beverly Hills, CA 90212).

A reading of The Rosenberg Case comes to Theatre 40 this month. The play is written by Dennis Richard and directed by Louis Fantasia. The performance is set for Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

Theatre Forty's production of Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, a hit with critics and audiences alike, is extending by moving to the beautiful, historic Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills for a limited engagement of five performances. The St. Charles Singers, led by founder and music director Jeffrey Hunt, will conclude its decade-long Mozart Journey project with concerts August 27 and 28, 2022, in St. Charles, Illinois, featuring two of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's most beloved sacred choral works, a famous opera aria, and a dramatic early symphony.

Norm Foster has been called 'the Neil Simon of Canada.' The remarkably prolific author of 54 plays (with more on the way) is Canada's most popular and successful playwright. He's Theatre 40's favorite playwright, too. His new play will be the sixth that we've produced. The king of Canadian comedy is letting us produce the World Premiere engagement of A Clean Brush.

Metromaniacs aren't people who are crazy about subways. They are people who are nuts about poetry, i.e. verse composed in meter. David Ives' play The Metromaniacs is an English language adaptation of a French farce from 1738, La Metromaie, and it is set in Paris in that year, a moment when there was a particular craze for poetry. Ives' play is performed in English, in rhyming couplets.

In The Play's the Thing, a playwright named Sandor Turai comes up with a plan to save the engagement between his nephew Albert and an actress named Ilona after Albert overhears a flirtatious conversation between Ilona and Almady, an obnoxious actor (and Ilona's former lover).

Theatre 40 is set to host a staged reading of Twirl, a new play, on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Twirl is the winner of the 2021 Beverly Hills Theatre Guild Julie Harris Playwriting Award, presented by Judson Mock.

Silent Sky, a play by Lauren Gunderson, will run at Theatre 40 from March 17th through April 17th, 2022. The show will play Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00 p.m, with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. The production is directed by Ann Hearn Tobolowsky and produced for Theatre 40 by David Hunt Stafford. Silent Sky is the story of a real woman whose life and discoveries were significant in their impact on Man's (and Woman's) next steps into the universe at large.

Theatre 40 will present a staged reading of a new play, Disrupting the Box, on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The play is written and directed by Theatre 40 company member David Datz.

For the final entry of 2021 in its popular series of Monday Night Seminars, Theatre 40 will present a rehearsed reading via Zoom of a classic holiday tale, Beasley's Christmas Party.
