Hy-Fi, the winning project of The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1's 2014 Young Architects Program, opens today, June 27 in the MoMA PS1 courtyard. A circular tower of organic and reflective bricks that uses biological technologies combined with cutting-edge computation and engineering, the structure is made of biodegradable material and was created through a new method of bio-design conceived by its designer, David Benjamin of the New York-based architects The Living. It will remain on view through September 7.

SummerWorks Performance Festival returns for its 24th year August 7 -17, 2014. This year's season is sure to thrill with exciting changes, a crop of new works and moments of intensity, self-discovery and much more waiting to be discovered. SummerWorks is excited to announce its new Hub at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen St W), where they will host Live Art programming throughout the 2014 Festival, replacing last year's Performance Bar. SummerWorks is also pleased to return to venues such as Theatre Passe Muraille (16 Ryerson Ave), the Lower Ossington Theatre (100 Ossington Ave) and the Scotiabank Studio Theatre (6 Noble St).
New Museum Now Accepting Membership Applications for First Year of NEW INC

Lisa Phillips, Toby Devan Lewis Director, and Karen Wong, Deputy Director, cofounders of the New Museum's incubator, NEW INC, together with its Director, Julia Kaganskiy, today announced that the Museum is accepting applications for its inaugural group of members. NEW INC will launch in the Museum's adjacent building in summer 2014. The deadline for applications is April 1.

The Museum of Modern Art and MoMA PS1 announce The Living (David Benjamin) as the winner of the annual Young Architects Program (YAP) in New York. Now in its 15th edition, the Young Architects Program at MoMA and MoMA PS1 has been committed to offering emerging architectural talent the opportunity to design and present innovative projects, challenging each year's winners to develop creative designs for a temporary, outdoor installation at MoMA PS1 that provides shade, seating, and water. The architects must also work within guidelines that address environmental issues, including sustainability and recycling. The Living, drawn from among five finalists, will design a temporary urban landscape for the 2014 Warm Up summer music series in MoMA PS1's outdoor courtyard.

Last night, June 19, BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON alum Benjamin Walker visited The Late Show with David Letterman to promote his new film, ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. The thriller is set to open in theaters on June 22nd from 20th Century Fox.
