Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, together with presenting sponsor The Children's Trust, are proud to announce the 2016 winners of Young Talent Big Dreams, the most widespread local youth talent contest in Miami-Dade history. A marathon of semifinal competitions for student performers ages 8-17 culminated in the finals competition held this past Saturday, May 7, at the Miracle Theatre. Little Daisy Tanner will make her stage debut at Lynn University on Friday, June 10th, at 7:30 PM, when she appears opposite the First Lady of Florida Theatre, Jan McArt, in a staged reading of Tony Finstrom's new play with music, 'WAVE YOUR FLAG!'

Asolo Repertory Theatre (Sarasota, FL.) kicked off its 2015-16 season with the Tony Award-winning musical West Side Story on November 13th. Two-time Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely (who reproduced the choreography for the celebrated 2009 Broadway revival) directed Robbins' timeless choreography for Asolo Rep's production.

Actors' Playhouse is proud to present Sondheim on Sondheim, an intimate multimedia portrait of musical icon Stephen Sondheim in his own words and music. This South Florida premiere of James Lapine's award-winning Broadway hit will play March 16 - April 3 at the Miracle Theatre.

In addition to being big Broadway hits, those musicals have something else in common: their costume designer, the brilliant William Ivey Long. On Tuesday, March 1, Long will speak with Sheryl Flatow about the craft of costume design and discuss his illustrious career as part of Palm Beach Dramaworks' popular series,Dramalogue - Talking Theatre! William Ivey Long: Creating Character Through Costumes will be presented twice, at 2pm and 7pm, at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. 

So now it's all here again on the big stage at Actors' Playhouse. There's a cast of 27 directed by David Arisco, the king of big musicals, who doesn't let a flat moment slip into the two hour performance.

?West Side Story, one of the greatest love stories of all time, returns to Actors' Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre almost 20 years since the company won South Florida regional theatre's Carbonell Award for "Best Production of a Musical". The show will run January 27 through February 21, 2016.
