'Damaged Souls: A Detective Inspector White Caper' by Jack Everett and David Coles Now Available as Ebook
by Christina Mancuso - Feb 10, 2016

Barking Rain Press, a non-profit fiction publisher, announced the paperback and eBook release of 'Damaged Souls: A Detective Inspector White Caper,' the third book in the D.I. White Mysteries series from UK authors Jack Everett and David Coles. The authors have written other books together, including 'Damaged Goods,' 'Damage Limitation,' and 'The Diamond Seekers.' A fourth book in the D.I. White Mysteries series, 'Damage Done,' is also in the works. A day of reckoning-both personal and professional-is at hand for Detective Inspector Stewart White in the third installment of the D.I. White Mysteries. While White's team closes in on an elusive heroin smuggling operation, a prominent television executive reports that her twin teenage daughters have been abducted. The high-profile case is assigned to White, who must now divide his attention between the kidnapping and the heroin sting operation. That leaves little time to console his one-time lover, Connie Cleghorn, when she returns to the UK to take her mentally ill brother back to Florida for treatment. In stark contrast, his father is diving deeper into a heady love affair of his own-forcing White to consider whether his inability to maintain a lasting relationship is due to his job or to his own shortcomings. The two cases-and relationships-threaten to spiral out of control towards conclusions that are sure to surprise. Ask for 'Damaged Souls: A Detective Inspector White Caper' at your favorite bookstore, or buy it online at the Barking Rain Press website, Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Powells, Waterstones, and many other Internet bookstores. It is also available as an eBook through Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble Nook, iTunes iBooks, Kobo, Content Reserve/Overdrive, the Barking Rain Press website and many other outlets worldwide. New eBook, 'Damage Limitation: A Detective Inspector White Caper' by Jack Everett & David Coles is Released
by Christina Mancuso - May 6, 2015

Barking Rain Press, a non-profit fiction publisher, announced the paperback and eBook release of 'Damage Limitation: A Detective Inspector White Caper,' the second book in the D.I. White Mysteries series from UK authors Jack Everett and David Coles. The authors have written books together, including 'The Diamond Seekers' and 'The Last Free Men.' A third book in the D.I. White Mysteries, 'Damaged Souls,' will be out this fall. The past comes back to haunt Detective Inspector Stewart White again and again in a deadly game of cat-and-mice. Picking up the trail where it left off in 'Damaged Goods,' this riveting crime thriller starts with a bang and never lets up. At the top of White's most-wanted list is a maniacal magician who leaves his victims in locked, sealed rooms with no way in or out. But it seems that the magician has fled the country... yet copycat murders are popping up all over Leeds. So who is really behind these murders - and what does it have to do with the arrest that earned him a promotion? Two years ago, White apprehended a ruthless Midlands underworld drug lord and racketeer, Leroy 'King' Richards. The King swore he would get even with White, and now he's escaped from prison. Is he out planning his vengeance - and what could that possibly have to do with the surprise appearance of the sister of Robert Cleghorn, the crazed CIA operative from his first case as a Detective Inspector? With nothing up his sleeves, and more than his career at stake, will D.I. White's deductive mojo get it all sorted in time?
