After a successful June, the Bryant Park Reading Room has announced July’s lineup during a monumental year celebrating Bryant Park’s 30th anniversary. “The Bachelor’s” Matt James joins this month’s Author lineup on July 13 at 12:30pm with his new book “First Impressions: Off Screen Conversations with a BACHELOR on Race, Family, and Forgiveness.'

The selected works respond to The Greater Good Commission's charge to reflect the time and be innovative in form.

Darrel Alejandro Holnes, Latinx Playwrights Circle, and Pregones/PRTT have announced that the playwrights selected for this year's Greater Good Commission and Festival are Dominic Colón, Lily Gonzales, Tavi Juárez, Phanésia Pharel, and Andrew Rincón.

Founded by playwright Darrel Alejandro Holnes, the Greater Good Commission offers $500 mini grants to Latinx playwrights to write short plays, innovative in form, that reflect the times. The commission's second round will focus on LGBTQIA+ Latinx- identifying playwrights. Submissions are open until 11:59 PM on July 4th, 2021.
