DANCENOWNYC kicks off its 20th anniversary season with the world premiere of NEWYORKnewyork@AstorPlace, a new dance-theater work by Obie and Bessie Award-winning choreographer Mark Dendy. Performances will take place today-Friday, May 6-8 at 7pm, and Saturday, May 9 at 7pm and 9pm, at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater.

The CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI) is awarding 26 dance companies/choreographers residencies at 11 CUNY colleges in 2015. A new residency program heading into its second year, CDI opens the doors of CUNY campuses to New York City choreographers and dance companies by assisting the colleges with artist fees, rehearsal expenses, and marketing efforts.

Suspense escalates when seemingly disparate events complicate President O'Neil's stressful decisions. With the world's leading security force combing Washington, D.C., for his daughter, Fitzgerald, Armstrong and the young basketball team, led by Brown, stay passionately involved in the drama. The Hollywood Arts Council (HAC) presented their 29th Annual FREE Children's Festival of the Arts at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Shauna McClure, Executive Director of the Hollywood Arts Council said, 'This year's Children's Festival of the Arts was attended by a record high of around 5,000 people. The event was a total success! People whose parents attended the festival in the past are now bringing their own kids. The diversity of the crowd in attendance was truly amazing.'
