The National Comedy Center and legendary producer, director, and writer Carl Reiner announced today, on Carl Reiner's 97th birthday, an initiative to digitally preserve Reiner's extensive personal collection of production-used scripts from "The Dick Van Dyke Show" - one of the most iconic, innovative, and beloved comedy series in television history.

The National Comedy Center was formally designated as the nation's official cultural institution dedicated to the art form of comedy on Tuesday, March 12. In a tremendous bi-partisan show of support, both the Senate and House of Representatives passed this bill in February, and the president signed it into law on Tuesday, recognizing the Center as the "Official National Comedy Center of the United States."

The first House of Blues opened in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Nov. 26, 1992, and seven years later, House of Blues opened three distinct venues in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The music hall, restaurant and bar, and the Foundation Room changed the entertainment scene in Las Vegas combining diverse live shows, delicious food and drink, and an upscale club. The first show featuring Bob Dylan was performed on March 2, 1999, where Dylan brought Bono of U2 on stage.

The National Comedy Center, the nation's first museum and visitor experience dedicated to the comedic arts, announced today that Sebastian Maniscalco and John Mulaney will headline the 2019 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, August 7th -11th. Dan Aykroyd and Judith Belushi Pisano have announced that The Official Blues Brothers Revue will appear at M Resort Spa Casino on Saturday, Jan. 12. The duo, comprised of Kieron (Elwood Blues) Lafferty and Wayne (Jake Blues) Catania, were hand-picked by Aykroyd, Belushi Pisano and original Blues Brothers Musical Director, Paul Shaffer to carry the torch first lit by the iconic duo of Aykroyd and John Belushi on Saturday Night Live in 1978 and later immortalized in the eponymous blockbuster 1980 film directed by John Landis.
