Dallas Summer Musicals and Broadway Across America announced that a digital ticket lottery for a limited number of seats will be held for WICKED, which is returning to Dallas’ Music Hall at Fair Park from August 3 – September 5, 2021, kicking off the 2021-2022 Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by DSM.

WICKED will be the first Broadway tour to resume performances in the U.S. following the pandemic shutdown.  The musical will relaunch at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas from August 3 – September 5, 2021, kicking off the 2021-2022 Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.

Single tickets for HAMILTON will go on sale to the public Friday, July 2 for performances November 16 – December 5, 2021

Dallas Summer Musicals and Dallas Independent School District today announced the release of the “Lift Every Voice and Sing” Dance Video Project starring Dallas ISD students and their teachers in celebration of the spirit of collaboration and to raise awareness for the necessity of arts in the school district.

The Jimmy Awards has just announced this year’s 72 nominees from 36 regions around the US. The national student showcase will be streamed on Thursday, July 15th at 7:30 PM. The show will feature dynamic ensemble and solo performances and will culminate with two students presented with a Best Performance by an Actress and Best Performance by an Actor award with a total of 20 awards and scholarships available to participants.

Dallas Summer Musicals and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra have announced an intimate string quartet performance by members of the DSO on Saturday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Music Hall at Fair Park. Tickets are on sale Friday, June 18 at 10 a.m.

North Texas high school students, teachers, and their theater departments were celebrated in a virtual ceremony of the 10th Annual Dallas Summer Musicals High School Musical Theatre Awards (DSM HSMTA) on Friday, June 11.

Dallas Summer Musicals opens theater doors in a grand show of community support for the dwindling local blood supply. For the past 15 months, continuously, Carter BloodCare and blood programs nationwide have experienced the most limited blood supply in 30 years. Dallas Summer Musicals has announced the production team for the 10th Annual DSM High School Musical Theatre Awards (HSMTA) will feature Joel Ferrell as Director/Choreographer, Cherish Love Robinson as Music Director, and Eric Lee Tysinger as Production Supervisor. 

Dallas Summer Musicals today announced the organization’s first-ever virtual fun run and step challenge, Bolt to Broadway and Back, from May 8 through May 31, 2021, with a goal to raise $15,000 and complete 3,000 miles, equaling one round trip from the Music Hall at Fair Park to Times Square in New York City and back.

DSM has announced the appointment of six new members to its Board of Directors and four new members to its Advisory Board, effective January 2021. The newly elected individuals will help support the nonprofit’s mission to bring the best of Broadway to North Texas and expand the impact of live theater into all corners of the community.
