The Broadway-bound musical is about what happens when a group of forgotten celebrities lend their support to a lesbian couple wanting to attend their prom.

Tickets are on sale today for all the productions in the 2016/17 season for the Alliance Stage, Hertz Stage, Theatre for Youth and Families, and the Kathy and Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young series.  The 48th season includes seven world premieres, five musicals, five productions by Atlanta playwrights, and exceptional productions for youth and families. 

The Alliance Theatre, in association with producers Dori Berinstein and Bill Damaschke announced principal casting today for The Prom, the hilarious new musical that will have its pre-Broadway World Premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre in August 2016.

Atlanta's nationally acclaimed Alliance Theatre and Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V. Booth have announced the 2016/17 Season for the Alliance Stage, Hertz Stage, Theatre for Youth and Families, and the Kathy and Ken Bernhardt Theatre for the Very Young series. The 48th season includes seven world premieres, five musicals, five productions by Atlanta playwrights, and exceptional productions for youth and families. The 2016/17 season marks the Alliance's last in its current theater space before it undergoes a complete renovation, its first since it was built in 1968.

Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, is proud to launch the Company's exciting 2015-2016 season with the highly anticipated play, Calendar Girls by Tim Firth. The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2013-2014 Atlanta professional theatrical season this evening at the awards ceremony at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center. The evening was hosted by Rob Cleveland. Presenters included Deadre Moore, Ingrid Cole and Christy Baggett, Eric and Bethany Mendenhall, Veronika Duerr and Laura Cole, Clifton Guterman and WABE's John Lemley, Tess and Mark Kincaid, and Karen Howell and Chris Ekholm.
