THE MASCOT Set for World Premiere at Living Room Theatre

Agile Rabbit Productions has announced casting and creatives for the world premiere original new comedy, THE MASCOT. Written by Jerry Hickey, the production is helmed by esteemed director (and KU professor) Peter Zazalli. Kansas City favorite Sam Cordes assumes the title role and is joined by Emma Carter, Coleman Crenshaw, Jen Mays, Matt Rapport, and Hollis Wilhoit, along with Alisa Lynn, Jake Gillespie, and Matthew Michael. The play will also feature an original score composed by Jon Robertson.

The world premiere of Columbus Day, a play by Forrest Attaway, closed on Sunday November 2 at the Living Room Theatre in Kansas City, Mo. Attaway stated the work began as a 60-minute production and over the last eight years, he developed into a full-length play. Bryan Moses directed the dark drama about poor choices, death, and misgiven trusts.

The KC Melting Pot production of White Sangria opened Friday night at the Just Off Broadway Theatre in Kansas City, Mo to a sparse audience. Harvey Williams the founder of the KC Melting Pot, which is in its inaugural season, directs the play written by Arika Larson. The 2011 Kansas City Fringe Festival, where it won best-selling show in its venue, introduced audiences to White Sangria. Foreign Bodies by Larson premieres at the Artist's Movement later this year in New York.
