Things are heating up in the village as the Players Theatre continues to host its annual February Short Play Festival - Sex! The festival opened with a bang this week featuring five new plays with themes that ranged from S&M to Twisted Trysts to Little Red Revamped.

The third floor windows are steaming up at the Players Theatre on MacDougal Street as they prepare to present the seventh annual Short Play Festival - Sex! There is nothing like a spicy play to chase away those winter blues and these 15 playwrights have created the forbidden cure.

Make no mistake about it, these reindeer games from The AlphaNYC Theater Company are definitely for adults only.

In many cases, art not only imitates life, but it's also prophetic in nature. Stephen Kaplan's Community was selected many months ago for our July 18 Playwrights on Park Reading Series, and its theme of race and tradition raises important questions that are relevant to current events in the world of theater.   Community tells the story of Christopher Marshall, an actor cast as George in Mt. Laurel Community Players' production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?
