Several months ago, 23-year-old tenor Alex Mollica approached the mic at Don't Tell Mama in the heart of Times Square. Despite the instruction of the venue's title, his wildcard singing range and one-liners got people talking, laughing, and shedding a tear or two. A YouTube video and a whim resulted in Doing It My Way, Mollica's upcoming autobiographical cabaret at The Duplex.

Hunter Bell ([title of show], Now, Here. This., Found) and Susan Blackwell ([title of show], Now. Here. This., Side by Side by Susan Blackwell) will co-host Broadway Back to School, a benefit for the International Thespian Society's (ITS) initiatives to support theatre arts education for underserved students and schools. Broadway Back to School 2015 will be a fun-filled, fast-paced evening that includes cocktails, dinner, no long speeches, and appearances by Nicolette Robinson ('The Affair', 'Hart of Dixie', 'Perfect Couples'), Michael Urie (Buyer and Cellar, How to Succeed..., 'Ugly Betty', He's Way More Famous Than You), Blake Daniel (Spring Awakening, Hello Again) as well as other stars of stage and screen, Thespian alumni, and friends.

Earlier this month, The New York Pops marked its 32nd birthday with a grand gala evening celebrating the work of Music Honorees Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall and Corporate Honoree Carrie and Ted Pryor, Greenwich Harbor Partners. The event began with a concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring a spectacular lineup of guest artists under the baton of Music Director Steven Reineke. The performance highlighted the Marshalls' work on stage and screen. Jason Daunter, producing director for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and a veteran Broadway stage manager, will make his solo cabaret debut -- and farewell performance -- on October 5 and 6, 2014, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42nd Street, NYC).

Announcing creative team and cast for the world premiere of the children's musical, Quiet Clock, The Musical, based on the book, The Quiet Clock by Britt Nichols.

Drake Bell and Lindsay Pearse flew in from hollywood to star in a staged reading of the John Denver/Stewart F. Lane new musical, A Moment in Time, at Playwrights Horizons last week. John Denver, a singer, songwriter and humanitarian, has received numerous awards during his life including, two Grammies, an Emmy, and has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Coco Cohn directs a cast of four including Rodney Dickerman, Cara Noel Antosca*, Angela Shultz, and Wayne Petro. Performances for MAKING GOD will be held at The Jewel Box Theatre, 312 West 36th Street in New York City for five performances from July 23-31, 2011. AEA Showcase.
