On Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00pm, New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) presents the final offering of this season's two-part contemporary music mini-series NYFOS Next with RUSSELL PLATT & FRIENDS at Mary Flagler Cary Hall in the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Award-winning composer and writer Platt hosts and curates an hour of music showcasing the work of multi-dimensional artists and composers, including Harold Meltzer, Lisa Bielawa, Carla Kihlstedt, Gilda Lyons, and Colin Jacobsen, as well as his own.

Miriam Theatre Presents Natalie Merchant, 7/20

On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 8pm, Natalie Merchant will perform at the Merriam Theater of the University of the Arts. This appearance is part of her nationwide tour in support of her new album Leave Your Sleep. The tour will be Merchant's first major outing in seven years. Merchant and her eight-piece band will perform new material as well as favorites from throughout her career.

The Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street) will kick off a series of special anniversary readings November 11-12 with Polly Pen and Peggy Harmon's Goblin Market - the critically acclaimed chamber musical which was the first show to transfer commercially from a run at The Vineyard Theatre - featuring the musical's two original stars, Terri Klausner and Ann Morrison. Evan Yionoulis will direct.
