A new independent film based in the heart of Brooklyn's hot Bushwick neighborhood entitled “Bushwick Beats” will get its international premiere at the Mill Valley Film Festival in the San Francisco area followed by a red carpet reception and screening at the opening party of the Bushwick Film Festival in New York City tonight

Fresh off announcing that country super-group Little Big Town will host the “2018 CMT Music Awards,” CMT today revealed that Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Kelly Clarkson, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt will perform at this year's show, premiering LIVE from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 6th at 8 pm ET/ PT. Additional performers will be announced soon.

Whatever your artistic quest may be, from unearthing gem stones or archeological ruins to discovering a lost manuscript of music, there is always an element of nostalgia and new found glee when the item arises. Stage director Fortunato Pezzimenti discovered Arthur Richman's unpublished 1922 script THE AWFUL TRUTH in the New York Public Library for The Performing Arts in 2011. Only briefly produced on Broadway in 1935, the story has been told on 3 occasions on the silver screen.

Shakespeare Theatre Company today announces the cast of Lerner and Loewe's multiple Tony Award-winning musical Camelot. Directed by STC Associate Artistic Director Alan Paul (Kiss Me, Kate; Man of La Mancha), the classic musical will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F St NW) from May 22 through July 1, concluding STC's 2017-2018 mainstage season.
Comedy Central's CORPORATE Renewed Season Two

Comedy Central President Kent Alterman today announced the renewal of Corporate for a second season. The series, which Variety hailed as “deliciously dark and hilariously ruthless” and Indiewire called “the first great comedy of 2018,” premiered in January as the highest-rated basic-cable primetime comedy of the 2017-2018 season among males 18-34. Corporate airs Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT with the season finale airing on March 14. Previously aired episodes are available at www.cc.com/corporateand via the Comedy Central App.

REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER continues its 16th season FRIDAY, FEB. 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 12:30 a.m., exclusively on HBO. Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists and interviews with guests. Playwright and actress Anna Deavere Smith is the top-of-show interview guest. Vicente Fox, former president of Mexico, is the mid-show interview guest. The roundtable guests are author Fran Lebowitz and author Salman Rushdie.

The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America West (WGAW) tonight announced the winners of the 2018 Writers Guild Awards for outstanding achievement in writing for film, television, new media, videogames, news, radio/audio, promotional, and graphic animation categories at concurrent ceremonies at the Edison Ballroom in New York City and The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
