Ted Austin, Chair of the Board of Directors at Portland Center Stage at The Armory, announced today that Marissa Wolf has been selected as the next Artistic Director at Portland Center Stage at The Armory, after an eight-month, nationwide search. Wolf, most recently the Associate Artistic Director at Kansas City Repertory Theatre, previously served as the Artistic Director at San Francisco's innovative Crowded Fire Theater. Wolf joins Managing Director Cynthia Fuhrman as co-leader of the city's leading professional theater and begins her role full-time on September 15, 2018.

The new season kicks off performances on July 11 and will feature 13 productions across seven different venues at the Denver Performing Arts Complex and beyond.

Today the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) named Lisa Mallory as its Vice President of Marketing & Sales. Lisa will oversee an 80-person team that manages all marketing, sales and patron services for the $57 million nonprofit organization, which engages 1.1 million individuals including 106,000 students through its six pillars - Broadway, Theatre Company, Off-Center, Cabaret, Education and Event Services. The Armory's production brings together the artistic team from the celebrated world premiere at Goodman Theatre/Olney Theatre Center, including director Halena Kays; magic creator/actor Brett Schneider; actor Sean Parris; master illusionist Jim Steinmeyer; scenic designer Lizzie Bracken, costume designer Alison Siple; aerial choreographer Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi; and flying effects by ZFX, Inc. Portland Center State at The Armory's run of The Magic Play is a co-production with Actors Theatre of Louisville and Syracuse Stage.

The world premiere of Astoria: Part Two the conclusion of a two-part stage adaptation of Peter Stark's best-selling bookASTORIA: John Jacob Astor and Thomas Jefferson's Lost Pacific Empire; A Story of Wealth, Ambition, and Survival adapted and directed by Chris Coleman begins preview performances at The Armory on January 20, opens January 26 and closes February 18.
