With a three week extension that is already sold out and last night?s pick up of Drammy Awards for Original Music and Musical Actress in a Lead Role, Portland Center Stage is delighted announce a second extension for Crazy Enough, through July 26th, including 2 Late Night Performances at 10pm during Portland Center Stage?s new works festival, JAW, Friday July 24th and Saturday July 25th. The production will take a break June 29th through July 6th, picking back up with performances July 7th through the 26th, with Tuesday through Friday performances at 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday matinee performances at 2:00 pm and one Saturday 7:30 performance on July 18th. Technological mysteries mix with existential epiphany and a fair amount of anthropomorphic activity at the 2009 edition of Portland Center Stage?s JAW: A Playwright?s Festival. Featured plays in progress include Marc Acito?s dust up about gay penguin dads, Birds of a Feather; Pulitzer-prize nominee Will Eno?s Middletown; Jordan Harrison?s typography obsessed mystery Futura; 36 Views author Naomi Iizuka?s Berkley-Rep-bound ????? (Translation: Concerning Strange Devices from the Distant West); Yale student Kim Rosenstock?s Michelangelo inspired romance of the bizarre, 99 Ways to F**k a Swan; and Seattle-based playwright Stephanie Timm?s On the Nature of Dust.

Portland Center Stage presents Grey Gardens: The Musical, the Broadway smash hit inspired by the cult documentary classic that redefined our notions of eccentricity, American royalty and glamour in decline.

Three studio titles will change and one production will move to the Main Stage in a major revision of the Portland Center Stage 2009/2010 season. Early strong seller The Chosen will move to the Main Stage, replacing Joe Turner's Come and Gone (which will be deferred to future season). In the studio, a possible Broadway tour causes our production of Thurgood Marshall to be postponed, and The Best So Far will be put on hold to give it a bit more gestation (and New York fundraising) time.
