On February 13, New York Theatre Barn will present NYTB in the D-Lounge, a monthly concert for emerging musical theatre writers, now in its 5th year, at the Daryl Roth Theatre. The February 2012 installment of NYTB in the D-Lounge introduces to New York audiences Illinois-native, singer-songwriter Kevin Fogarty, who will present selections from his full-length musicals, and showcases Jonathan Larson Award-winner J. Oconer Navarro, who will present the world premiere of songs from two new musicals by himself and collaborators. Performers include Charlie Brady, Joaquina Kalukango, Zonya Love, and more. Executive Producers for NYTB in the D-Lounge are Laura Brandel and Jason Najjoum.

One More Sleep 'Til Christmas, an evening of new holiday songs to benefit Toys for Tots, features the talents of Charlie Brady (The Burnt Part Boys/South Pacific), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde), Hannah Elless (Mamma Mia!), Gideon Glick (Wild Animals You Should Know), Jaclyn Huberman (I Love You Because), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot/Passing Strange), Alyse Alan Louis (Mamma Mia!), Christianne Tisdale (On a Clear Day…), Taylor Trensch (Little Miss Sunshine), and Paul Wyatt (Sessions) on Monday, December 12 at 9:30pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (at the West Bank Café), 407 West 42nd Street.

Following a successful 23rd Annual Festival of New Musicals held in NYC Oct. 27-28. The National Alliance for Musical Theatre held a party at Southern Hospitality. This year's Festival attaracted over 650 people representing 300 organizations from around the country including Europe attending the eight new musicals that were presented. Ben Davis, David Perlman and Charlie Brady will be featured in a developmental reading of the new dramatic musical The Pigeon Boys, by Anne Berlin & Andrew Bleckner, directed by Valentina Fratti as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, September 30th at TBG.

The Weston Playhouse Theatre Company opened the world premiere of Saint-Ex, a dazzling new musical about the life of author/aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince) last week, but because of flooding from Hurrican Irene, the production has been temporarily shut down. The theatre's website states: 'The Weston Playhouse has sustained damage from 5 feet of water which flooded the ground floor. ? The Theatre Company is formulating plans to reopen its production of Saint-Ex.'
