NJ Rep to Premiere MERCY

New Jersey Repertory Company located at 179 Broadway in Long Branch, is proud to present the world premiere of Adam Szymkowicz's Mercy from June 14 through July 15, 2018. Shana Dirik, Producing Artistic Director of Theater UnCorked - Boston's newest small theater company - today announced the full cast for the company's debut performance: Sweeney Todd in Concert - A Pop-Up Musical. Juilliard Appoints Evan Yionoulis as Director of Drama

Juilliard today announced that Obie-award winning director Evan Yionoulis, currently professor in the practice of acting and directing at Yale School of Drama and a resident director at Yale Repertory Theatre, will become the school's Richard Rodgers Director of Drama at Juilliardstarting with the 2018-19 academic and performance season. The Juilliard Drama Division, celebrating its 50th anniversary this season, offers a program that encompasses one of this country's most respected conservatory educations for actors as well as highly successful pre-professional mentoring for playwrights.

Get on Board for Laughs as Theater To Go Presents TWENTIETH CENTURY

It's time to travel back to the 1930s for a rollicking good time on the rails as Theater To Go presents Ken Ludwig's Twentieth Century at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre. A train trip from Chicago to New York City has lots riding on it including the future of a legendary producer and his Broadway show. Show times for this comedy classic are Fridays, Jan. 26 and Feb. 2 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Jan. 27 and Feb. 3 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.

9th Annual The Fire This Time Festival Lineup Announced

Now in its ninth season, the Obie Award winning The Fire This Time Festival will kick off on Monday, January 15 with an opening night reception at The Kraine Theater and continue with a special off-site event and panel discussion at Atlantic Theater Company on Wednesday, January 17, followed by full-length play readings and the 10-Minute Play Festival, directed this year by Candis Jones.

Robert Schenkkan's The Great Society, the second half of the epic drama about President Lyndon Baines Johnson, makes its Washington, D.C. debut at Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater, following the theater's critically acclaimed 2016 run of All the Way. Kyle Donnelly returns to Arena Stage to helm this political thrill ride that shines a bright, clear light on a pivotal moment in American history (New York Times). Chronicling LBJ's second term as he seeks to maintain his relationship with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and complete a raft of impossibly ambitious social policy projects, The Great Society runs February 2-March 11, 2018 on the Fichandler Stage.

Outside the Box: Dallas Solo Show Captures Lenny Bruce's Life

Lenny Bruce was a complex man, and his life is now captured in a solo performance called Lenny Bruce is Back, produced by the Dallas based Bren Rapp and Upstart Productions, and stars Upstart Artistic Director Joey Folsom. The show is unique because despite being a theatrical performance recounting Bruce's life, the show will go on stage at traditional theaters, comedy venues, including iO West in Los Angeles and Second City in Chicago, and even the Dallas Burlesque Club Viva's. It's only appropriate for a man that defied definition throughout his career.
