WEST END BARES Announces 10th Birthday Performance

After nine spectacular sold out shows raising over £300,000 for the Make A Difference Trust, WEST END BARES, theatre's hottest annual fundraiser, returns for its 10th birthday with a one-off celebratory performance on Sunday 13 October at Troxy at 8.30pm with 1500 tickets on sale NOW.

Alex Jennings Joins The Cast of THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA

Scenario Two have announced that three-time Olivier Award winner and current BAFTA nominee, Alex Jennings (My Fair Lady, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Queen, Bridget Jones: The Edge, Babel, The Lady in the Van and most recently the critically acclaimed Netflix series The Crown and Unforgotten for which he has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor) will complete the cast for the London premiere of the acclaimed Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza. A stunning story about the life-changing thrill of first love, Jennings will play Signor Naccarelli the father of dashing Italian lover, Fabrizio.

Scenario Two have announced further casting for the London debut of the acclaimed Broadway musical The Light in the Piazza. The Light in the Piazza will be performed in a full staging at the Royal Festival Hall in a limited run of only twenty performances directed by Olivier award-winner, Daniel Evans, designed by Robert Jones with costumes by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, lighting by Mark Henderson and sound by Mick Potter. The ravishing score will be played by the 35 piece orchestra of Opera North under the baton of Kimberly Grigsby, conductor of the original Lincoln Center production.

Lambert Jackson today announce a competition to find a future musical theatre star, offering the winner an opportunity to perform in their new show West End Women - A Celebration of Women in Musicals at Cadogan Hall on Saturday 2 February 2019. The one-night only concert will also feature a chorus of forty students from Michael Xavier Masterclass (MXM) including Daisy Greenwood who performed in Lambert Jackson's debut show There is Nothin' Like A Dame as a competition winner.

The Magic of Animation was a wonderful celebration of music from animated films and the debut concert for new company West End Does. They performed a lovely mix of both classic and newer Disney songs, from shows like Moana and Frozen, along with some tunes from other animated movies like Anastasia and The Prince of Egypt. It seemed like they managed to find the nine performers in the West End who seem like actual fairy tale princesses and princes.

The Menier has a superb track record with breathing new life into classic musicals, but falls short with their latest revival: Cy Coleman's 1980 portrait of P.T. Barnum, creator of The Greatest Show on Earth . In stripping back some of the spectacle for this smaller space, Gordon Greenberg's production reveals the work's weaknesses as well as those of its leading man.
