Avella, will have a world premiere 3-week run at Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director) November 8-25, 2018. Following its New York run, the play will head to Europe where it was accepted into the Onstage! American Theater Festival in Rome, Italy, with performances there on January 25th& 26th2019. Vatican Falls, the controversial play written by Frank J. Avella that explores one Catholic sex abuse survivors journey has been selected for a Scratch Night at Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Artistic Director). Casting is now completed. The play will feature: Cameron August, John Ball, Carlotta Brentan, Gianmarco Colucci, Nevin Edmundson, Andrew Glaszek, Yvette King, Alice Barrett Mitchell, Jake Robertson, Sawyer Spielberg and Ian Whitt. Stage Directions will be read by Devon Talbott. The four songs were composed by Claudio Procopio with lyrics by Frank J. Avella.

Lured, written by Frank J. The U.S. production is a TNC/Impetus Ensemble co-production.

The 6th Edition of In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY presented by Kairos Italy Theater and KIT Italia, had its most successful Festival to date showcasing a record 12 shows, brought over from Italy to NYC. The 15-day, 5-borough Festival, founded by KIT Artistic Director Laura Caparrotti and KIT Italia Artistic Director Donatella Codonesu, boasted many sold out shows and events. This year's Fest celebrated women with 7 female authors represented as well as 6 female directors

OnStage! American Theater Festival In Rome Announces Call For Submissions for Shows & OnStage! Playwriting Award

KIT Italia, The International Theatre and KIT - Kairos Italy Theater have announced the launch of OnStage!festival, a new Festival of American Theater in Rome, Italy. The first edition of the festival will run January 21st - 27th 2019, featuring a selection of the best American independent theater taking the stage in the Italian capital. Submissions are now open for its main 'Shows' category as well as for the 'OnStage! Award' for US-based playwrights. Deadlines are March 30th, 2018 for 'Shows' and June 20th, 2018 for the 'OnStage! Award.'
