The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus may be folding after 146 years in operation, but you can catch Moonbox Productions' loving tribute to its creator, P.T. Barnum at the Roberts Studio Theatre at the Boston Center for the Arts. Director/choreographer Rachel Bertone has crafted a dazzling, dizzying staging of BARNUM, featuring electrifying performances, beautiful vocals, and an array of circus routines that are made to look easy by the talented ensemble cast. BRECHT ON BRECHT is the second in New Rep's series of Prophetic Portraits, following Johnny Lee Davenport's acclaimed portrayal in last month's THURGOOD. Brecht's art focuses on his experiences in Berlin, his flight from Nazism, and his life as an expatriate in America, where he faced accusation by the House Un-American Activities Committee. The 90-minute show is a revue of words and music, arranged by George Tabori, with direction by Jim Petosa and music direction by Matthew Stern.

Moonbox Productions, nominated for numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to present the dazzling American musical, Barnum, by Mark Bramble, Michael Stewart and Cy Coleman, April 8th - 30th at the Boston Center for the Arts Calderwood Pavilion, Roberts Studio Theatre, 539 Tremont Street, Boston.  Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays/Saturdays at 8 pm, Sat/Sun matinees 2 pm. MY FAIR LADY is one of the grande dames of musical theater and the Lyric Stage Company is giving her the royal treatment she deserves under the erudite direction of Scott Edmiston, with musical direction by Catherine Stornetta. Now, director Scott Edmiston will re-fashion My Fair Lady, the delightful story of a down-on-her- luck London flower girl taken on as an 'experiment' by a chauvinistic speech therapist, into another Lyric Stage winner. Based on George Bernard Shaw's beloved play Pygmalion, My Fair Lady introduced the world to a treasure trove of classic tunes including 'I Could Have Danced All Night,' 'On the Street Where You Live,' 'The Rain in Spain,' and 'I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face.'

The score to Scott Frankel and Michael Korie's Off-Broadway musical FAR FROM HEAVEN may be less than memorable, but gorgeous visuals and a superb performance by Jennifer Ellis as Cathy make SpeakEasy Stage's 2014-15 season opener unforgettable.
