According to Deadline, the previously announced production of FBI Lovebirds: UnderCovers, set to run at the Mead Theatre, has been cancelled due to threats of violence.

The Executive Director of the Richard and Karen Carpenter Performing Arts Center, Megan Kline Crockett, unveils the 2019-20 season featuring a captivating collection of music, dance, comedy, speakers and family shows across five different performance series: Wit & Wisdom, Dance, WOW!, Sunday Afternoon Concert, and Cabaret. Located on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, the Carpenter Center launches its 25th anniversary season on Saturday, September 21, 2019. New series subscriptions are on sale now with single tickets on sale starting May 21, 2019. The Carpenter Center showcases a dazzling array of talent every year, enriching the Cal State Long Beach campus and the Southern California community, says Executive Director Megan Kline Crockett. We're inviting back some of our favorite performers for our 2019-2020 season as well as welcoming extraordinary artists new to our stage who reflect the broad cultural landscape of Southern California. As we begin our 25th anniversary season, we renew our commitment to celebrate wonder, diversity, and exceptional artistic achievement today and for the next 25 years. Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts presents the political satire comedy troupe Capitol Steps in Make America Grin Again on Saturday, April 6 at 8 p.m. Ticket prices range between $40 - $70, plus applicable fees.

Producer Eric Krebs, in association with Harriet Spalding & Michael Planit, will present developmental lab presentations of I Spy A Spy, a new (declassified) musical comedy, with book and lyrics by Jamie Jackson and music & lyrics by SoHee Youn

The Capitol Congressional staffers turned comedians,  famed comedy troupe composed ofSteps, will perform Make America Grin Again at the Montalvo Arts Center. Called 'an oasis of good-natured ribbing in a fiercely partisan world' by The Washington Post, the Capitol Steps have slayed the country with their hilarious send-up of the people and institutions that once employed them. Their sketch and improvisational comedy offers a mix of song and standup, lampooning modern political leaders, and tackling major current issues. What better way to celebrate Presidents Day weekend than with political satire at its best.  The Capitol Steps will visit the Axelrod Performing Arts Center February 16 at 8:00 PM to celebrate American political theater.

The Capitol Steps bring their bipartisan brand of political humor to Popejoy Hall on Sunday, February 10 at 3 p.m. In "Make American Grin Again," this institutional comic troupe grabs material fresh from the headlines for skits and song parodies that poke fun at Democrats and Republicans alike.

Back by popular demand, the Capitol Steps return to the McCallum Theatre for two performances on Sunday, January 13, at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. The only group in America that attempts to be funnier than Congress, Capitol Steps is a troupe of current and former congressional staffers who monitor events and personalities on Capitol Hill, in the Oval Office, and in other centers of power and prestige around the world and then take a humorous look at serious issues while providing a nationwide laugh for millions.

The Capitol Steps return to Mayo Performing Arts Center to offer their comedic take on all things political on Friday, January 11 at 8 pm. Tickets are $29-$59.

The Capitol Steps, the political musical satire group that has been putting the "mock" in democracy since 1981, will be taping their semi-annual public radio special, Politics Takes A Holiday, before a live audience on Friday and Saturday, December 14-15,  at 7:30PM, at the Amphitheater of the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC.
