​​​​​​​The Magnificent Seven, a new musical about the 1996 U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics team, will be presented in a limited run this summer, from Thursday, July 7 to Sunday, July 17, at Theatre Row.

The Dennis & Victoria Foundation (DVRF) will present an industry reading of Justine Gelfman's In Sisters We Trust, or My f**ked Up American Girl Doll Play as part of their Playwrights Program. The presentations will take place May 12 and 13 at Open Jar Studios.

On Friday, April 1, I had the pleasure of seeing the ACT of CT’s unique adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.  This 1971 musical that is primarily told through music with lyrics by Tim Rice has been redesigned and reinterpreted by the director, Daniel C. Levine who has incorporated elements of The Handmaid’s Tale into this adaptation.

The Audio Publishers Association (APA) have announced finalists for the 2022 Audie Awards. Finalists include Cynthia Erivo for Best Female Narrator and Lin-Manuel Miranda for Best Male Narrator. he Green Room 42 has announced their January line-up for in-person performances in addition to launching reWINEd, a new streaming series where you can rewatch some favorite recent shows paired with at-home drink recommendations from each artist. 

The producers for Rescue Rue at DR2 Theatre have announced the show will return after a holiday hiatus. Originally scheduled to conclude performances on January 16, 2022, the show will now pause performances until the New Year, and the run will be extended to Sunday, January 30, 2022 with performances on a new varying schedule.
