New Plays by Norris, Raine, Crowe et al. Set For Royal Court Theatre's Fall Season

The Royal Court Theatre has announced its fall season, featuring the premieres of five new shows including plays by Bruce Norris, Nina Raine, Nick Payne, E V Crowe and Brett Neveu.

Houston Grand Opera closes the 2008-09 season with its 39 th world premiere, Andr? Previn's Brief Encounter, at the Wortham Theater Center's Brown Theater, May 1 - May 8, 2009. Brief Encounter is German-born American pianist, conductor and composer Andr? Previn'ssecond opera. His first opera, A Streetcar Named Desire, which won the Grand Prix du Disques recording award, had its premiere in San Francisco in 1998 to much acclaim and continues to beperformed internationally.

The winner of the 2003 Evening Standard Award for Most Promising Playwright, Elmina's Kitchen is a darkly hilarious firecracker of a play written by Kwame Kwei-Armah. First presented by the National Theatre in 2003, Elmina's Kitchen will commence a UK tour at Birmingham Repertory Theatre on 25 February - 5 March.
