Artistic Directors Roy Alexander Weise and Bryony Shanahan are working in collaboration with some of the industry’s most ground-breaking artists and companies from across the world. Phoebe Eclair-Powell Wins The 2019 Bruntwood Prize For Playwriting

Today, Monday 4th November 2019, Phoebe Eclair-Powell's play, SHED: EXPLODED VIEW, has been named the overall winner of the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting during a ceremony at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. As well as receiving £16,000, Eclair-Powell will work with the Royal Exchange Theatre's creative team to develop the script.

The Young Vic Directors Program announces the launch of a new, improved Genesis Network website. The website has been updated and developed to better facilitate the community and peer-support at the heart of the Young Vic Directors Program, the only scheme of its kind, which has been running for nearly twenty years. The program currently serves nearly 1,000 directors, designers and producers living in the UK at the early stages of their career.

Rebekah Murrell made her professional acting debut in Natasha Gordon's award-winning Nine Night, which opened at the National Theatre before transferring to Trafalgar Studios. Earlier this year, she followed that up with her directing debut: J'Ouvert at Theatre503. She can now be seen performing in Glass at the Royal Court, one of four new plays written by Caryl Churchill and directed by James Macdonald.
