The Comrades are pleased to present their fall 2017 production, BOB: A LIFE IN FIVE ACTS by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb, which is co-directed by Will Quam and Derek Bertelsen. The show will play the Apollo Studio Theater (2540 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago) from October 29 through November 21, 2017. Press opening is Tuesday, October 31 at 7:30pm. Random Acts is pleased to announce casting for the one-night event reading of SLACK by Caitlin Turnage. Directed by Random Acts Artistic Director Bryan Renaud, the reading will feature artistic associates Tommy Rivera-Vega, currently appearing in LA HAVANA MADRID from Teatro Vista and Goodman Theatre; Ben F. Locke, now leading Metropolis Arts Centers' production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER; and Shannon Webber, who appeared as Carol in Random Acts' smash-hit LADIES NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

The production, written by Bryan Renaud and Emily Schmidt, and directed by Tommy Rivera-Vega, has extended twice since opening March 3rd, 2017.

Today, The Hawk Chicago announced nominations for the inaugural Chicago Theatre Awards, a contest in which all winners are chosen entirely by audience vote. The first round, which invited write-in submissions, ended June 23rd. The official nominees were decided by almost 1,600 voters.
