NYC Dance Alliance Foundation's DESTINY RISING Benefit Set for Tonight

On Monday, April 22 at 7:30pm at The Joyce Theater, the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation will present DESTINY RISING, an evening of dance artistry benefiting the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation College Scholarship Program. Featuring outstanding NYC Dance Alliance alumni, choreography from NYC Dance Alliance faculty, and special guest performances from prominent professional dance companies, there will also be a post-performance talkback available to all in attendance. VIP tickets are $100 (prime orchestra ticket and a ticket to the after party), additional tickets are priced at $45 (orchestra seating) and $25 (for loge or front row orchestra seating).

Peter Martins, Ballet Master in Chief of the New York City Ballet, announced today that the Company will launch a new performance group called New York City Ballet Moves during the summer of 2011. Consisting of a small group of artists from the full company, New York City Ballet Moves will provide an opportunity to showcase NYCB's dancers and repertory in venues that might not be able to present the full company for financial or technical reasons. Martins will select a rotating group of performers from NYCB's roster of dancers and musicians to participate in the group's engagements.

CAMP Screened at Duplex on April 3 with Live Performance

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is very pleased to continue it's
CINEMA DUPLEX series with a very special screening of the acclaimed 2003 film, Camp. The evening will also feature a live, musical performance from the film's cast, as well as an interview with Todd Graff, Camp's writer/director. Seth Rudetsky, host of the popular Broadway Chatterbox, will host the evening.
