Starsky + Cox - the couple named "Psychics to the Stars" by Vanity Fair, known for their international best-selling book Sextrology - will bring this season's premier installment of  STARRING - A Midsummer's Evening of Entertaining Enlightenment to Joe's Pub at The Public Theater on Sunday, June 21 at 7:00 PM for the summer solstice.

Brian Blessed Withdraws From KING LEAR Due To Illness

Brian Blessed has had to withdraw from his role as King Lear at Holy Trinity Church Guildford. This is the first time he has played King Lear on stage and the first time he has performed on stage with his daughter Rosalind Blessed who plays Goneril, one of Lear's daughters.

Closer Than Ever opened Friday night at the Barn Players in Mission, Kan. The play with lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and music by David Shire is the yearly musical fundraiser for the Barn Players. On Friday night, Danielle Gibbs with Premiere Designs sold jewelry in the lobby, with 25% of the proceeds going to the Barn Players, and will return for Sunday's performance.

Megan Bryant took it upon herself to create and do the arrangements for the First Annual IDAHO LAUGH FEST, with the help of a few local comedians. They should all be commended for putting together such a GREAT comedy filled event.

Trinity Rep opens its 49th season this month with Shakespeare's sweeping tragedy King Lear, a co-production with The Dallas Theater Center (DTC) and directed by DTC artistic director Kevin Moriarty. When the aging King Lear decides to divide his power between his three daughters, the results are devastating to the family - and the country. Driven by flattery, foolishness, ambition and greed, each generation soon betrays another and even nature itself revolts. King Lear runs through October 21 in Trinity Rep's intimate Dowling Theater. Brian Bo, founder of the Mini Prophets, will be showcasing his collection of wall hangings beginning July 2nd in the Harris Gallery of the King Center for the Performing Arts. This 12-piece show called 'Advertised Paranoia' is a series of mixed-media collages. Open to interpretation, they are a study on the effects of advertisements.
