BWW Interviews: Actor Chad Borden Talks About Havok Theatre's New Season

Actor/producing director of Havok Theatre Company Chad Borden has been treading the boards in LA theatre for many years, this year being Ovation nominated for his portrayal of Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman, which won Production of a Musical in an Intimate Space at the Ovations last night. Borden recently sat down with BroadwayWorld to talk about all things Havok and theater.

NDNU Theatre is proud to present the 24th annual production of The Gift: A Christmas Carol the Musical, based on the story by Charles Dickens and featuring an exciting musical score written by Alan Menken, with lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and book by Mike Ockrent and Lynn Ahrens. The latest installment of this community gem will once again be directed by Michael B Elkins, NDNU'S Chair of the Department of Theater and Dance. The Gift: A Christmas Carol the Musical will play a special limited engagement from December 4 - 13 with an official opening night of December 4 @ 7:00 PM.

Nominations for the 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at the New York Friars Club by Faith Prince and Jim Dale, multi-award winning stage stars. They were joined for the announcement by William Wolf, Drama Desk President, Barbara Siegel, Chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee, Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards ceremony, and Randie Levine-Miller, Director of Special Events for the Drama Desk.

PS Classics to Record THE STORY OF MY LIFE for June Release

The producers of THE STORY OF MY LIFE and record label PS CLASSICS announced today that they will collaborate on an original cast recording of the Broadway production, set for March 13th. Producer Chase Mishkin said ?I?m thrilled that the wonderful Will Chase and Malcolm Gets will go into the studio to preserve this score as only they can. I hope this gives audiences in the US and around the world a chance to discover a fresh writing team in Neil Bartram and Brian Hill?. Tommy Krasker, co-founder of PS Classics and producer of the recording, anticipates a June 2nd release.
