Directed by Ryan Oliveti, the show opens on March 30th and runs to April 22nd. DISNEY'S THE LITTLE MERMAID will be produced at The Grange Lake in Serenbe.

These are the first lines of each of the seven movements of A German Requiem, carefully chosen by composer Johannes Brahms. This well-known choral masterwork was written by Brahms not as a rite for the deceased, like a traditional Latin Requiem, but to comfort the living, especially those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

In the backwoods of the Bible Belt, the Turpin family has just suffered the loss of their father, but their problems keep overshadowing the solemn occasion. Firstborn Ray-Bud drinks himself silly; Junior, the youngest son, is dealing with financial ruin, monster no-neck kids, and a wife who suspects him of infidelity (in the family car); last, but certainly not least, their spinster sister, Delightful, copes with death as she does life, by devouring mountains of junk food. Amidst the chaos, the Turpins turn to their friends and eccentric community of misfits who pull together to help them through their hours of need. Dearly Departed proves that living and dying in the South are seldom tidy and always hilarious. 

The Michael O'Neal Singers and Georgia Philharmonic present Beyond Impressionism: Debussy and Vaughan Williams on Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. at Lassiter Concert Hall.

Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant, and recently honored with the most Suzi Bass Awards for a musical in Atlanta (Miss Saigon), is pleased to present GREASE, by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey. The show is directed by Brian Clowdus with music direction by Chris Brent Davis and choreography by Bubba Carr. The show opens on March 23rd and runs through April 16th, only. Performance times are Wednesdays through Sundays at 8pm. Broadway Dreams and The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts will ring in 2017 with a free performance at 4:15 pm on Sunday, January 1, 2017 on the Commonwealth Plaza Level of the Kimmel Center.

The Suzi Bass Awards, Inc. announced winners for the 2015-2016 Atlanta professional theatrical season last night, November 7, 2016, at the 12th annual awards ceremony held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts and Community Center.
