Last night (Nov 22), Faith Salie and friends celebrated the opening night of Approval Junkie, Audible Theater’s New York premiere production at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Performances run through December 12 only.

Audible Theater is presenting the New York premiere of Approval Junkie, which opens tonight at the Minetta Lane Theatre. Performances run through December 12 only. Approval Junkie is written and performed by Faith Salie, and directed by Amanda Watkins.

The New York premiere of Faith Salie’s Approval Junkie, developed in collaboration with and directed by Amanda Watkins, will finally make its New York premiere at Audible Theater’s Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, between MacDougal & 6th Avenue – one block south of W. 3rd Street), after original rehearsals were postponed in March 2020.

A new slate of fall programming has been announced for Audible Theater, including three more shows staged live at the Minetta Lane Theatre and four Audible Originals. Highlights include: And So We Walked, An Evening with Solea Pfeiffer, and Approval Junkie.

The Alliance Theatre has announced its return to the Coca-Cola Stage with the world premiere musical, DARLIN' CORY.

Dark Water, the newest trio in rock music, release their first single 'Paint It Blue' from their forthcoming self-titled album, out this Friday. The band includes Kristian Bush, solo artist and half of country music duo Sugarland, Brandon Bush, formerly of the iconic rock group Train, and Benji Shanks who plays guitar for Blackberry Smoke. 'Paint It Blue' premiered with Billboard last week.

The Alliance Theatre is pleased to present the world premiere production of Approval Junkie, by and starring Faith Salie.  A comedian and Emmy Award-winning journalist best known for her roles on NPR's Wait Wait…Don't Tell Me! and CBS News Sunday Morning, Salie returns home to Georgia to adapt her memoir into a heartfelt (and disturbingly hilarious) one-woman show.  Approval Junkie is directed by Amanda Watkins and premieres on the Hertz Stage April 5 - 28, 2019.  Opening night is Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

The Suzi Bass Awards revealed nominations for the 2016-2017 Atlanta professional theatre season on Monday evening, September 18, to patrons and industry artists.

Rehearsals are underway for Alliance Theatre's upcoming production of Shakespeare in Love, based on the 1998 film that won seven Academy Awards including Best Picture. Georgia Shakespeare co-founder and Artistic Director Richard Garner is directing this love letter to William Shakespeare in his company's former home at Oglethorpe University's Conant Performing Arts Center while the Alliance Theatre undergoes a complete renovation. Performances are August 30 - September 24, 2017.  Opening night is Today, September 6. Set in 1950s Nashville, Troubadour is a romantic comedy about an unlikely group of friends whose unconventional style changes the course of country music. Troubadour is directed by the Alliance's Jennings Hertz Artistic Director Susan V.
