The worldwide celebration of Shakespeare's 450th Birthday comes to New York at 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, in a concert of the award-winning Like You Like It, the musical based on the Bard's As You Like It set at a mall in the 1980s.

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond:

The cast and creative team of the hit Off-Broadway musical Murder for Two have teamed up with some of New York's brightest up and coming composers and BroadwayWorld.com every Monday night for their spring concert series, Murderous Musical Mondays. Composer Ryan Scott Oliver launched the series last night, March 24th, 2014, immediately following the 7pm performance of Murder for Two at New World Stages (Stage 5 - 340 West 50th Street). Following a sold-out premiere at Joe's Pub last December, Shakina made her 54 Below debut with ONE WOMAN SHOW: A Work In Progress on Feb. 20, recounting in song and story the exploits and misadventures that led to her gender transition. A story of surviving the 90s and creating a new life in a new millennium, the OC Weekly calls Shakina 'a bona fide standout,' and VICE magazine says, 'nothing will stop her in becoming who she is.' The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presented the ninth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond, last night. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Joel Grey at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater. 'Once Upon A Time In New York City'- a concert series featuring a slate of brand new songs about the Big Apple, made its 54 Below debut on Nov. 19. The concert featured performances from Micah Burgess, Nick Cearley, Amanda Flynn, Amanda Green, Lewis Grosso, Molly Hager, Jeremy Jordan, Dennis Michael Keefe, Rachel Lee, Lauren Marcus, Chris Miller, Bonnie Milligan, Alexander Sage Oyen, Chelsea Packard, Rob Rokicki, George Salazar, Analise Scarpaci, Jahn Sood, Sam Tedaldi, Katie Thompson, Nathan Tysen, and more.

The York Theatre Company, launches the NEODevelopmental Reading Series with the workshop presentation of the new musical, A Girl Called Vincent, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay, with music written and composed by Carmel Dean, directed by Dick Scanlon and music direction by Charity Wicks. The six-member cast will feature Gerard Canonico, Van Hughes, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Kelvin Moon Loh, Bonnie Milligan and Dani Shay. A single performance is scheduled for today, August 8, 2013 at 3:00pm.

In our digital age, how can they navigate the traditional expectations of their mother with their American culture of individuality?

The Flea Theater will present the world premiere of a cautionary tale by playwright christopher oscar peña. Directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin H. Kamine (Thomas Bradshaw's Job), previews begin May 29 with opening night set for June 10.
