In a time when issues of immigration, assimilation, xenophobia, and socio-economic upheaval are more present than ever, the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene will bring to the stage a reimagined version of Moishe Rosenfeld and Zalmen Mlotek's Amerike-The Golden Land, a musical journey of the immigration experience. Playing at the Museum of Jewish Heritage, across from the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, from which the story has taken inspiration, this limited Off Broadway engagement opens tonight and will run through August 6th. The industry reading of the new play, The Joys? of Being Yiddish, will be presented on Friday, June 9th at 10:45am and 2:00pm at The New 42 Rehearsal Studios (Studio 9A), 229 W. 42nd Street.

The band is the essential heartbeat of rock & roll! In Arizona Broadway Theatre's current production of ROCK OF AGES, Mark Foreman (keyboards), Daniel Stotz (bass), Douglas Ramlow (percussion), and Andrew Hake and Jeff Lauffer (guitars) prove the point with an explosive and electrifying nonstop performance that plays true to the distinctive attributes of glam metal. ROCK OF AGES is a totally amped-up and vigorous medley of '80's hits wrapped around Chris D'Arienzo's otherwise very conventional and 'irrepressible love story.'

This spring, a former Broadway theater just off Times Square will be resurrected as the lavish and risque playground of Florenz Ziegfeld and his Follies for SPEAKEASY DOLLHOUSE: ZIEGFELD'S MIDNIGHT FROLIC, the third interactive show in the Speakeasy Dollhouse series from author, artist and playwright Cynthia von Buhler.

The New York Pops brought the beloved Rudolph Characters to life in a Family Concert and broadwayworld was there for the rehearsal. Steven Reineke conducted and John Bolton narrated. The concert featured original choreography by director Liza Gennaro performed by dancers from New York Theatre Ballet.

On December 19 and 20, 2014 at 8:00 PM, The New York Pops will present an evening full of holiday cheer at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage featuring Tony, Emmy and two-time Golden Globe nominee, Matthew Morrison, and five-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara. The orchestra will also be joined by Judith Clurman's Essential Voices USA. Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke will lead the concert, which will include festive classics like "Carol of the Bells," "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," and "Winter Wonderland," plus some of the Broadway's most beloved musical numbers.

Based on the 1980 hit movie starring Dolly Parton, the show features Parton's original award-winning title song, as well as her Tony Award and Grammy-nominated score. Outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic, 9 to 5: The Musical is a story of friendship, revenge, teaming up, and taking care of business!
